Pima, and his sister Cotton Ball, (also know as ‘the poofies’), and their mother Fluffy were rescued from the same Taqueria that Dulcie and Bella Luna were rescued from a year ago by the same foster mom. The kittens were born on Cinqo de Mayo. He has been indoor only his whole life. He is a domestic medium haired snowshoe tabby and possible Bengal Mix, with a white bib and white tummy like his Mom. He has acorn shaped gold eyes and a white tip on his striped tail. He has a square tiger shaped muzzle. He has a very unusual meow in that it sounds more like a baby lion or tiger instead of the traditional sound you would expect from a cat or kitten.
Pima and his sister Cotton Ball, and his mother Fluffy love to wrestle and ‘dive bomb’ each other. He is especially close to his Mom and is still nursing although he has been on kitten food for quite awhile now. You will frequently find them curled up together. Mom is in the process of weaning him. Pima loves to play with a variety of kitten toys and has a great time running and wrestling with the other cats and kittens in his foster home. He is good about being brushed and having his nails clipped.
Pima is three and a half months old and has had one kitten shot and has been spayed. He will need another two kitten shots and his rabies shot which we will provide. He is negative for AIDS/Leukemia and Heart Worm. He has been wormed and treated for fleas. He eats both dry and wet cat food and also likes crackers and tortilla chips.
Pima is in his second foster home due to a serious incident between two dogs in the first home. It is unknown how he will be around dogs as he has not had any contact with them. Pima is looking for a loving, forever, indoor home for a very active, loving, little boy.
It is suggested as with all feline adoptions to keep a new companion indoors for a several weeks so they become familiar with the new surroundings. It is also good to make sure they have a "special" area they can escape to when company comes. This will make both you and your companion have a much better relationship.
