About Cotton Ball

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Cat
  • Declawed: No
  • Housetrained: Yes

Cotton Ball, her brother Pima, (also know as the poofies), and their mother Fluffy were rescued from the same Taqueria that Dulcie and Bella Luna were rescued from a year ago by the same foster mom. The kittens were born on Cinqo de Mayo.  She has been indoor only her whole life.

She is a long haired, incredibly soft, and very fluffy, tabby mix who got her name because her orginal foster Mom said she looked like a cotton ball with feet--and she does. She has gold eyes and is a nice solid three and a half month old kitten. She gets along well with cats and kittens and loves to run and play with the other cats and kittens in the home while sticking her tail straight up in full fluff.

Cotton Ball, her brother Pima, and her mother Fluffy love to wrestle and dive bomb each other. She has a great, very loud purr the minute you touch her. She loves to roll in bubble wrap especially when it makes noises—do not have bubble wrap in your bedroom at night if you plan to get any sleep! She also loves to play with a variety of toys. She is good about being brushed and having her nails clipped, but can be quite a handful for such a little kitten when she does not want to cooperate! Think toddler going through the terrible twos and throwing a major tantrum …

Cotton Ball has had one kitten shot and has been spayed. She will need another two kitten shots and her rabies shot which we will provide. She is negative for AIDS/Leukemia and Heart Worm. She has been wormed and treated for fleas. She eats both dry and wet cat food and also likes crackers and tortilla chips.

Fluffy is in her second foster home due to a serious incident between two dogs in the first home. It is unknown how she will be around dogs as she has not had any contact with them. Cotton Ball is looking for a loving, forever indoor home for a very active, loving, little girl.

It is suggested as with all feline adoptions to keep a new companion indoors for a several weeks so they become familiar with the new surroundings. It is also good to make sure they have a "special" area they can escape to when company comes. This will make both you and your companion have a much better relationship.
