Chickpea's mother Lillie was found as a friendly stray at the Ice House Theatre in north Visalia.  She was very pregnant and had her babies at her new foster home.  Their foster mom had to turn them over to Love of Animals because she had to move and couldn't take Lillie and her family with her to her new home.

Chickpea is a lively purring little lap cat who would love to spend time with you on the couch or in bed.  Loves to be cuddled!

As with any new companion, Chickpea should be kept isolated for a day or so to let him get accustomed to his new home, diet and litter box.  It is also good for make sure he has a "special" area he can escape to when company comes.
