About Volla | |
|
|
Mother of a litter of 5, Volla is outstanding. She is fostered in a outdoor cattery with her kittens, Voxie & Argo.
Foster mom had cut a tree down in her front yard and placed the branches and logs to one area of the yard. Volla decided it was the purrrrfect place to have her family. Unfortunately the foster mom was breaking up branches on a Tuesday morning and uncovered the family.
Talking softly, she tried to cover them back up and go on with her work. The next day was her watering day so while she was watering the flower beds in the front, and guess who she found again....yes, Volla and her kittens.
This time foster mom caved in and took them all in to raise since the mom was there. During the weeks that they grew, foster mom was giving Volla Kitten Chow but she kept having loose stools. The kittens started eating the food and their stools became loose too. Foster mom treated the family for intestinal parasites but each time she stopped, the loose stools came back. She then changes the food they were on to a grain-free type and the stool became firm again. She still allows a little bit of canned food but not enough to give the loose stool issue again.
Volla has been:
- Tested for AIDS & Luekemia and found negative
- Given 2 sets of vaccines
- Spayed
- Given Rabies vaccine
- Flea/worm treated with Advocte (aka Advantage Multi)
Open your heart and home and help Volla to have more adventures!
It is suggested as with all feline adoptions to keep a new companion indoors for a several weeks so they become familiar with the new surroundings. It is also good to make sure they have a "special" area they can escape to when company comes. This will make both you and your companion have a much better relationship.
