If you are interested, have questions, or to schedule a personal viewing for this companion only, please contact Ms. Laurie Jane Eberle, volunteer for Love of Animals, Visalia Division, Visalia, California, at 559-697-5070 or laurie@loveofanimals.org.
Bonnie can melt your heart with her eyes. She had such sad eyes for a spunky girl, When she came to LOA, in her previous life her front left leg broke and was never properly set. When this lucky girl ended up in the home of the adoption coordinator, she did not like the way it looked when she walked or tried to run. When Bonnie was taken to be spayed, she talked to Dr. Hatayama to see if anything could be done to correct it. With his skills and 10 weeks later, Bonnie now has an almost straight leg. Although she still acts like the splint is still there, her playfulness has grown even more.
Bonnie does enjoy being outside but knows how to use a dog door to be able to come inside when she wants to. She mostly sleeps in the front room in her bed which is under a chair and on rare occassions in foster moms bed.
Now look into her eyes and just know she wants to have her forever family......please make them you.
As with any new companion, it is wise to spend good quality time with them and let them explore their new surrounding while you set the boundaries. It is also good to make sure they have a "special" area they can escape to when company comes. This will make both you and your companion have a much better relationship.
Love of Animals will screen potential adoption parents to ensure the companion WILL NOT be a fighting dog.
