Good golly Miss Molly you were very special because it was by chance your foster dad was at the shelter and fell in love with you. He waiting oh so patiently for you to be available so he could bring you home to give you another chance to find an even better home. 

As with any new companion, it is wise to spend good quality time with them and let them explore their new surrounding while you set the boundaries. It is also good to make sure they have a "special" area they can escape to when company comes. This will make both you and your companion have a much better relationship.
