The property and building where I and 17 others were housed at was sold by the owner. Our caretakers who rented one of the shops where Rainbow Bridge Sanctuary was located at had to in turn relocate us due to this sale. Of all the agencies contacted, LOA was the only one who returned my caretakers' phone call and took all 18 of us in.

LOA took all of the cats to the vet to be tested for FeLV, FIV, and Heartworm. All of them came back negative!!! Two of the cats needed additional surgery for cancer issues and LOA took care of that too. All received updated 3 year rabies vaccines and are in the process of obtaining an updated FVRCP-L (the yearly vaccine) and dewormed with Felidon. Their records from the sanctuary can be found at Care at the Courtyard. They would really love for you to give one or two of them a furever home.

All of these wonderful companions will need time to adjust as they have been out of the typical home environment. It is suggested as with all feline adoptions to keep a new companion indoors for a several weeks so they become familiar with the new surroundings. It is also good to make sure they have a "special" area they can escape to when company comes. This will make both you and your companion have a much better relationship.
