Dixie was found in Ivanhoe. The family who found her and one other canine companion placed a found ad in the local paper with no results.

Dixie is a sweetheart of a girl and will make a very good family watch dog with the right guidance.

As with any new companion, it is wise to spend good quality time with them and let them explore their new surrounding while you set the boundaries. It is also good to make sure they have a "special" area they can escape to when company comes. This will make both you and your companion have a much better relationship.
