Ms. Gray and her siblings were abandoned by their mother when they were about one week old. The litter was taken in by a man who was residing in Woodlake and raised. Joe bottle fed them and took care of them including trips to the veterinarian. They were having a wonderful time with their owner Joe Mello until he was killed in a motorcycle accident (a copy of the article is available).
The cats are now in a foster home looking for a new owner to take over. Ms. Gray has been independent from an early age (about 1 month old). She loves to play, gets along with most all cats, but has not been around dogs. Will be a bit shy at first until she feels comfortable.
It is suggested as with all feline adoptions to keep a new companion indoors for a several weeks so they become familiar with the new surroundings. It is also good to make sure they have a "special" area they can escape to when company comes. This will make both you and your companion have a much better relationship.
