Missy Mia came to us with a leg problem. Foster mom took her to the vet and had x-rays done to see what the problem was. Mia's hip socket was deteriorated and the leg bone would just pop right back out landing on top of the hip. The vet tried several times and it would not take. Next option was to at least take the ball part off the leg bone so that it would stop pinching nerves and muscles. Mia will have a limp unless the new family would like to have hip reconstruction surgery done.
Love of Animals tries to perform as much as possible while the companion is sedated. So while there at the vets she was spayed and her hip operated on. She took a few days to recuperate and within a week was running around the backyard with the other canine companions at her foster home.
Mia is a sweet, loveable, young lady who is searching for either a family to love her or even an older single owner as she is small and is very light. With her leg the way it is, she will not be a jumping canine or will jump very little.
As with any new companion, it is wise to spend good quality time with them and let them explore their new surrounding while you set the boundaries. It is also good to make sure they have a "special" area they can escape to when company comes. This will make both you and your companion have a much better relationship.
Mia is current on vaccines, Rabies, Bordetella, Micro-chipped, and spayed.
