This Dachshund/Chihuahua mix was adopted by a sweet lady who adored him. When she passed early this year the kids really didn’t want dogs. He was lost without his “mom”, but he has adapted well to foster care. My best guess is that he is approximately 4 years old. He is up to date on shots and has been neutered and micro-chipped.
Mojo is good with cats, as far as he doesn’t chase or hurt them, but he is a little timid around them, and will literally cry if one chases him!! He lived with his sister, Ginger so he is good with other small dogs. He is afraid of large dogs and barks at them.
He loves car rides, but will get in front of the car for you to take him so you need to be careful if he is around cars. He listens well and has been kept mostly outdoors these last months and sleeps in a kennel. He of course prefers the bed, but is content in the kennel. If indoors he will potty on a puppy pad or paper. He loves toys and has a few favorites that should go with him. He is definitely an easy keeper and very loving!!!

As with any new companion, it is wise to spend good quality time with them and let them explore their new surrounding while you set the boundaries. It is also good to make sure they have a "special" area they can escape to when company comes. This will make both you and your companion have a much better relationship.
Love of Animals will screen potential adoption parents to ensure the companion WILL NOT be a fighting dog.
