Max desires affection & attention. He loves to cuddle with you. He tolerates dogs, but if they get too close to him he will swat them. He goes back and forth on how he reacts to other cats: he plays with them, then he attacks them. I guess you can say he has a love/hate relationship with his own kind. He has known to talk to us on occassion. He is an absolute love bug to humans, adults and children. 

It is suggested as with all feline adoptions to keep a new companion indoors for a several weeks so they become familiar with the new surroundings. It is also good to make sure they have a "special" area they can escape to when company comes. This will make both you and your companion have a much better relationship.
