About George | |
George was originally adopted from Valley Oak SPCA and subsequently lost his home due to divorce. He wound up living with a family member who already had too many children and animals to cope with, so when George indicated a desire to go outside, they let him go. He wound up some time later in a feral cat trap in one of our member's back yard. When his microchip was found, we contacted his family and they agreed to surrender George to us. Their loss could be your gain. George is a very sweet, handsome, friendly, laid-back guy who just wants to be loved. Likes a good belly rub. A really great companion. Should definitely be kept indoors so he doesn't wind up in another feral cat trap.
It is suggested as with all feline adoptions to keep a new companion indoors for a several weeks so they become familiar with the new surroundings. It is also good to make sure they have a "special" area they can escape to when company comes. This will make both you and your companion have a much better relationship.
