About Ritzy - Freckles | |

Ritzy Rescue and Posh Puppy are programs created by LOA Foothill to rehome the surplus dogs that are the inevitable result of puppy mills. Puppy mills discard adult dogs when they are no longer useful for breeding purposes and will frequently overextend their operations
to the point where they have to get rid of puppies quickly.
While we don't condone the puppy mill's operations, we do
rescue the dogs that are no longer of any use to them.
Ritzy Rescue works to find homes for retired breeders. These dogs have good bloodlines , meet breed standards and would sell for anywhere from $400 to $1500 through the breeders. Applicants who meet our strict screening criteria will be able to adopt them for a donation of $200.
Posh Puppy features purebred puppies less than six months of age.
They will be available to qualified adopters for a donation of$250.
These dogs are no more worthy than our wonderful mixed breed rescue dogs, but we do recognize the demand for them. The increased
donation fees help fund our non-profit, all volunteer rescue group.
Our major expenses are food and veterinary care and even with the generosity of the community and the revenues from our standard adoption programs we struggle to make ends meet.
Please support our rescue by adopting instead of buying from a breeder.

Freckles was surrendered to us by a retiring breeder. Freckles has been bred quite a bit and is delighted to be retiring. She is a bit overweight at the moment and a little shy with strangers. She will need a quiet home- NO kids - and adults that are willing to give her some space and let her get oriented.
Freckles has spent @ 4 months in foster care just learning how to be a dog. She now 'runs with the pack' and plays like a regular little dog should. She is always going to be a bit shy in new situations- but she has made amazing progress and now has some self-confidence.
