VOSPCA picked up Yuma after he had been injured by a vehicle. He was seen at Companion Animal Hospital where he recovered for a few days with no real serious injuries. Once back at VOSPCA, Yuma really needed to be in foster care and not a shelter. So through a network of emails his current foster family was contacted since they have a love for Dachshunds.
Yuma has made himself at home with the other fosters and does really good other then he needs to be in a home where he can be the Alfa-male since that is the only one he quarrels with in the foster home. Yuma has free range and is outdoors and indoors. It is preferred that he is kept indoors mostly due to his breed.
Note: one eye is blue and one is brown. So far he seems to be able to see out of both eyes with no problems.
